AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By accessing our website (www.sayyestocollege.com), using Your Admissions Coach (YAC), or joining Say Yes to College Academy, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you don’t agree, please don’t use our website or services.

 

1. WHO CAN USE OUR WEBSITE

Age Requirements:

14 years or older to create a YAC account or Academy membership

Under 14: May browse website with parent/guardian supervision

Under 18: Parent/guardian must consent to account creation

Parental Consent:

If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must: - Review and agree to these Terms on your behalf - Provide consent for your account creation - Take responsibility for your use of our website and tools

 

2. ACCEPTABLE USE

You May:

Browse our website and read content

Create one YAC account per student

Join Academy with proper payment

Download resources provided to you

Contact us with questions

Share our content on social media (with attribution)

You May NOT:

On Our Website: - Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access content - Attempt to hack, breach, or test our security - Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code - Impersonate others or create fake accounts - Collect other users’ information - Interfere with website functionality

With YAC or Academy: - Share your login credentials with others - Create multiple accounts for the same student - Use YAC for purposes other than college planning - Attempt to reverse engineer or copy YAC technology - Share Academy content with non-members - Download and redistribute our proprietary materials

General Prohibitions: - Post illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive content - Harass other users or our staff - Violate intellectual property rights - Spam or send unsolicited communications - Misrepresent yourself or provide false information - Use our platform for commercial purposes without permission

Consequences of Violations:

We may, without notice: - Suspend or terminate your account - Remove violating content - Ban your IP address - Report illegal activity to authorities - Pursue legal action for damages

 

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

What We Own:

All content on our website, YAC, and Academy is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws, including:

Website design, layout, and graphics

Text, articles, blog posts, and educational content

Videos, webinars, and audio recordings

Workbooks, guides, and downloadable resources

Your Admissions Coach (YAC) software and AI technology

“The College Application Specialist” name and logo

“Say Yes to College” name and branding

All proprietary frameworks and methodologies

What You Can Do:

With Purchased Content (Academy, services): - Access during your active membership/service period - Download for personal use only - Print for personal reference- Use to help YOUR student with college planning

What You CANNOT Do:

Copy or reproduce our content elsewhere

Redistribute to others (email, file sharing, posting online)

Use for commercial purposes

Remove copyright notices or attribution

Create derivative works without permission

Share Academy materials with non-members

Sell or sublicense access to our content

4. USER ACCOUNTS

YAC and Academy Accounts:

Account Creation: - Must be 14 years or older - Must provide accurate information (email, name) - Must create secure password - One account per student (no sharing)

Account Security:

You are responsible for: - Keeping your password confidential - All activity under your account - Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access - Logging out when using shared devices

We are NOT responsible for: - Losses due to stolen or shared passwords - Unauthorized access if you shared your credentials - Activity on your account before you reported compromise

Account Termination:

We may suspend or terminate your account if: - You violate these Terms - You provide false information - Your account is used for prohibited activities - Payment fails (for Academy subscriptions) - We cease offering the service - Required by law

You may terminate your account at: - YAC: Request deletion at [email protected] - Academy: Cancel subscription (see cancellation policy)

Effect of Termination: - Immediate loss of access - Content and data may be deleted - No refund for remaining subscription period (unless we terminate without cause)

 

5. SAY YES TO COLLEGE ACADEMY

Membership:

Monthly Subscription ($97/month): - Auto-renews monthly - Cancel anytime - Access continues through end of billing period - No refund for partial months

Annual Subscription ($997/year): - Paid upfront for 12 months - Savings vs. monthly - Cancel within 30 days for prorated refund - No refund after 30 days

What’s Included:

Access to content library

Live and recorded webinars

Community forum

Digital workbooks and resources

Your Admissions Coach (YAC) access

What’s NOT Included:

One-on-one counseling (separate service)

Personalized essay review

College list development

Application assistance

Cancellation:

To cancel: - Email [email protected] - Effective end of current billing period - Access continues until period ends - No partial refunds except as stated above

Community Guidelines:

When using Academy community features: - Be respectful and kind - No bullying, harassment, or discrimination - Protect others’ privacy - Stay on topic (college planning) - No spam or self-promotion - No sharing of Academy content outside community

Violations may result in: - Warning - Temporary suspension - Permanent removal without refund

 

6. YOUR ADMISSIONS COACH (YAC)

What YAC Is:

AI-powered guidance tool

Available 24/7 for preliminary questions

Supplements human counseling (does not replace)

What YAC Is NOT:

Substitute for professional counselor

Authorized to make final recommendations

Guaranteed to be 100% accurate

Able to complete applications for you

YAC Usage Rules:

You agree to: - Use YAC for college planning purposes only - Verify important information with official sources - Understand YAC is AI and may make errors - Not share your login credentials - Not input others’ personal information without permission

You agree NOT to: - Attempt to manipulate or “jailbreak” YAC - Use YAC to violate academic integrity policies - Share sensitive personal information (SSN, passwords, financial accounts) - Use YAC for illegal or unethical purposes - Attempt to reverse engineer YAC technology

YAC Availability:

We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee: - 24/7 uptime (maintenance may be required) - Instant responses (may experience delays) - Error-free operation - Uninterrupted service

No refund or compensation for: - Temporary YAC downtime - Slow response times - Technical issues beyond our control - Scheduled maintenance

YAC Data Collection:

YAC collects: - Email address (login) - IP address (security) - Location (city/state level) - Conversation content - Usage patterns

13. TERMINATION

Your access to our website, YAC, or Academy if: - You violate these Terms - We discontinue services - Required by law - We determine continued access poses risk

Notice: - Immediate termination for serious violations - 30-day notice for service discontinuation - Email notification to address on file

Effect of Termination:

Our failure to enforce any right doesn’t waive that right for future violations.

Assignment:

You cannot transfer your rights under these Terms
